A PORTRAIT OF MY CHILDREN, EVERY WEEK, FOR THE NEXT 52 WEEKS
Inspired by The 52 Project.
Finley: Playing with the friendliest little rabbits, under a cloudy sky, not far from his cousins’ house.
Sienna: Standing on the window sill, looking out into the garden at Gran and Grandpa’s.

We’re just over a week into our summer holidays, and once again I am amazed at how fast time flies. I feel the need to remind myself to slow down, close my eyes and take a deep breath of fresh air every now and again, because that, as simple as it sounds, was what I was desperately craving during those hot June days in Dubai.
The rain is falling outside, both kids are tucked up in (my) bed, under thick, comfy duvets, and I’m about to make myself a cup of chamomile tea and call it an early night. Long gone are the days where I’d return home for the summer holidays, quickly dump my bags, and head straight out to meet friends over a few summer beers in town! Although who needs nightclubs when your sister and brother in law are at the ready to throw impromptu midnight dance parties in their living room? Sorry, about that one, neighbours.
