Finley had a playdate this week with two of his friends from school, and for the most part I’d say it was a sweet success. I say “for the most part” because 10 mins into it there was a really loud, quite obnoxious, highly theatrical strop performed by the host himself. We blamed low blood sugar, which actually means it’s my fault, since I was the one taking far too long cooking those pizzas for lunch.
Anyway, we moved on, we took some deep breaths, had a few slices of pizza, ate ice lollies because we live in Dubai, made bouncy balls, played several board games, and we grew. A lot.
I say we, because I believe that most obstacles, these parenting and childhood and motherhood and growing up things, we go through them together. We learn, and fail, pull through, look back, succeed, and grow, together.
