Tori Amos said that. And I agree.
Not that box people can’t be great, too. But because we don’t all fit into the same type of box, and some of us don’t fit into boxes at all, and then some of us might fit into more than one box. And that’s ok. In fact, it’s more than ok, it’s pretty awesome. I spent a lot of my younger years jumping from box to box, wondering which type I fit into the best.
But, really, I didn’t have to fit in to any type of box.
We don’t have to choose, and we don’t have to squeeze our lives and our complex, unique personalities into just one box. We can be more. We can fit into several. And we can take all our boxes and stack them up into really cool, high towers and go – whoah, look at me I’m that tower.
Or, equally as cool. Just lay ‘em down low, and chill out with your one or two box tower. Because equally as cool. PS. On the subject of boxes. Someone told me the other day that if you keep cardboard boxes in your house, bugs will start growing in them. Or coming out of them, I can’t remember, exactly. But still, bugs. So that semi-detached, two bed cottage taking up most of our living room for the past two weeks? I ripped that cardboard monstrosity apart and threw it out the door in a matter of milliseconds.
