KIDS ACTIVITY: CATS CRADLE

QUIRKY HOBBIES AND WHATNOTS

We have bits of string lying around the whole house at the moment. Isabellas determination to do “The Eiffel Tower”, “The Maze”, The Diamond”. “The Teacup” is impressive, but “Grandad’s Underpants” is by far the coolest.

Do your kids enjoy quirky hobbies? Can you remember the string-craze from your own childhood?

I’m going to have to try this again when I get home, I was so bad at it. :)

    • Such a great party trick to have up your sleeve.. you know, just in case! :)

  3. I use to do this all the time as a kid in class. I think we had some thing stretchy that was made to do this but I can’t remember

  4. I’m so thankful for the Internet so that gaps in my knowledge as a child can be filled! I never was the coolest one who could make the most shapes, but I’m sure YouTube will be able to teach me all I wished I knew as a child and more! :)

  5. my boys enjoyed this for a while recently but we had a limited reertoire – think perhaps we need to google a few more! Good to see how the old fashioned simple pastimes still have appeal for the electronic games generation
